What does "Chong" mean in Chinese?

Chong can mean a plethora of things (well, not a plethora; 33 things in modern Mandarin). Since when did 'qing' mean book? The word for book is 'shu', though there is a famous book called 'qing'. Wadidowzhsa certainly isn't a Chinese term...My first though for 'chong' was 'insect', but it can also be 'heavy', 'rinse', 'rush', 'love' or 'pestle' and many more.
