Hi,my gf is a US citizen and i am not.Please,tell me what doents i need to get married?ID, birth cerificate

Me and my gf want to get married but i am not sure of the doents i need for the marriage! I am sure that i need my ID, but it's a foreign one. Is that a problem? Do i need a birth certificate from my won country, and if yes should it be officially legislated? I want to have all the needed docs ready before i go back to US. Thanks
